The Company
One of Ireland’s largest independent merchants, TJ O’Mahony is part of a group (HPC) that is currently trading from 16 locations. Home project Centre Limited Group (HPC) is a privately-owned business which trades under brands such as TJ O’Mahony, C&D Providers and PH Ross.
The problem
TJ O’Mahony did not have an eCommerce solution and recognised that trading trends were shifting towards digital. The country also went into lockdown at the same time of the launch which restricted the company’s ability to trade from their branches.
When researching online solutions we looked at various platforms, we chose the one provided by eCommonSense as they weren’t just another eCommerce solution, we saw that it was built bespoke for builders’ merchants. That is exactly what we wanted
The Solution
The company launched a new website built on the eCommonSense platform at the beginning of 2020. It included class-leading functionality along with a hugely expanded product range with all of the associated data needed for customers to make a purchase.
The Benefits
The website, supplied by the award-winning eCommonSense team, saw revenues exceed £100,000 in the first three days with server capacity having to be boosted hourly to cope with the unforeseen demand.
